Who We Are

The Problem We are Tackling - Inequality and Lack of Agency

Imagine living in a world where no matter how hard you work, you’re always on the outside looking in. Millions of people are stuck in this reality every day. They’re side-lined, not because they lack effort, but because of barriers they didn’t create.

These barriers come from deep-rooted cultural norms and systems that make it hard for people to speak up, take control of their lives, and shape their futures. Instead of being active community participants, they’re often pushed to the edges, left unseen and unheard.

As a result, they miss out on opportunities many of us take for granted – like quality education, healthcare, and the chance to earn a decent living. Worse still, they’re often treated as charity cases, given handouts instead of being empowered to break free from cycles of poverty and exclusion. This approach, while well-meaning, can strip people of their dignity and reinforce the very systems keeping them down.

Many efforts focus on fixing things for these people rather than creating spaces where they can speak for themselves, challenge the injustices holding them back, and take charge of their own destinies.

At the heart of the problem is this: the system doesn’t just need to change around them – they need to be at the centre of that change. We’re here to create opportunities for them to amplify their voices, open doors, and break down the barriers that keep them from the opportunities they deserve and are entitled to as their human rights.
